REGISTRATION NOW OPEN--SKATING STARTS SEPT 17

Short Track (ST) skating starts for the 2025-26 season on Wednesday Sept 17 at the Sullivan Arena.  Most ST skating will be at the Sullivan, but some ST skating will be at the O'Malley Sports Center (Red Rink).  Check the Club calendar for specifics.

ST skating.  Saturdays on the ice 8:15 to 9:45 AM and Wednesdays 7 to 8 PM.  Arrive at least 1/2 hour early to get warmed up, suited up and skates on.  All practices are professionally coached so skaters have the opportunity to learn, improve and skate better/faster.

Long Track (LT) skating will begin once the 400-meter skating oval in the Cuddy Midtown Park has ice.  The first scheduled practice is December 2.  Coached practices on Tuesday and Thursday evenings 6:30 to 8 PM and informal practices on Sunday afternoons 1-3 PM.  There will also be 6-7 LT race days this year--some on weekday evenings and some on Sunday afternoons.  Schedule is being finalized.

Be sure to register online before attending your first skating session.  On the Club website (alaskaspeedskating.org) register by clicking on "Registration" then "Available Programs."  All the program options are displayed and can be selected.  Liability Waiver and Code of Conduct must be signed for all skaters.  Club membership is required if skating more than 2 sessions.
