Long Track

Long Track Speedskating

  • The Midtown Park Skating Oval has great ice, usually from late November to early March. Come on out and enjoy the oval. You don't have to have speedskates to glide on the ice.
  • There are regularly scheduled Club races, both packstyle and metric (Olympic style).  And even marathon length (5, 10, 25 and 50 km) races one race day.  In some years there is the speedskate-skate ski duathlon.
  • We have organized practice times on Tuesday evenings and general speedskating sessions on Sunday afternoons.
  • Starting in the 2020-21 season we are offering a professionally coached Long Track skating program on Tuesday evenings.
  • Click on the “Registration Info” tab for more information about all our programs.
  • For all events, click on the “calendar” tab above for details.
  • For kids, there are month-long skating programs available through our partner organization, the Anchorage Skate Club.
