Peter Haeussler - is a US Speedskating Level I coach. He has been involved in the Alaska Speedskating Club since 1995, and has been a principal coach for the club for the last 15 years. He has been the short track speedskating coach for Alaska for the Arctic Winter Games eight times. Peter is also a competitive masters skater and usually goes to a couple of long track competitions outside of Alaska each year. He is chair of Anchorage Skates, which advocates for management and improvements of the long track oval at Cuddy Park. Peter recently retired as a geologist for the U.S. Geological Survey, where he studied earthquakes and tsunamis.

 

 John Monroe - coached the Netherlands Olympic Short Track team at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, where his ladies relay team placed 4th. John was on the Canadian rollerskating/inline team from 1989-1994, he worked for US Speedskating for 6 years, partly as their head of development, and also he coached the Polish national short track team for three years. John is currently the program director for the Anchorage Skate Club, and he is available for private lessons and coaching.
