This is the Short Track/Long Track Program. There is coached Short Track (ST) skating at the Kelly (O'Malley) Sports Center Saturday mornings and Tuesday evenings from early-Sept to mid-March, and coached Long Track (LT) practices at the 400-meter oval in the Cuddy Midtown Park on Thursday evenings once there's ice on the oval, usually late November. Saturday ST sessions are 1.5 hours and Tuesday sessions are 1 hour. LT sessions are 1.5 hours. There are 52 scheduled ST sessions and 11 LT sessions, for a total of 63. Included in the program fee is ST and LT ice times, and coaching in both ST and LT skating. There are a variety of program fee options based on age, individual vs family, full vs half season, and regular vs occasional skating. The first half of the season runs from September 9 to December 9, 2023. The second half of the season runs from December 12 to March 23, 2024. There are reduced fees for young skaters, and scholarships if there is financial need. There is a 2-session introductory option. Monthly payment plans are available if you sign up for the full season. Skaters at all levels are welcome to join the program. (There is also a LT Only Skating Program--see below).
